Meet Our Founder – Dr Ahmad Nounu

Dr Ahmad Nounu is the founder of Private Dental Mentor and the Principal Dentist and Clinical Director of Black Swan Dental Spa & Implant Centre in Somerset. Since graduating from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2008, he has built an award-winning career in private dentistry. Today, he has particular expertise in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, orthodontics and tooth whitening.

Over the years, Dr Nounu has remained passionate about helping dentists develop confidence alongside clinical excellence. As a result, he founded Private Dental Mentor to bridge the gap between university education and the practical realities of modern private practice. Through mentoring, hands-on training and education, he helps dentists develop the skills, communication techniques and mindset needed to build successful and rewarding careers.

His commitment to education has earned widespread recognition. For example, he received the Best Young Dentist award at the Dentistry Awards 2015 and was recognised in Private Dentistry Magazine’s Elite Top 20. These achievements reflect his dedication to clinical excellence, ethical patient care and continuous professional development.

Today, Dr Nounu continues to mentor dentists from undergraduate level through to experienced clinicians looking to expand their skills and confidence. Whether delegates are taking their first steps into private practice or refining advanced techniques, his goal remains the same: to inspire confident clinicians who deliver exceptional patient care.
