János Makó – Morphology Educator

Clinical Bio

János graduated as a dental technician in Budapest in 1994, where he began his career teaching prosthetic fundamentals and tooth anatomy before working as a ceramic technician until 1999. Since then, he has built an international reputation as a self-employed Master Dental Technician, founding Individual Dental in 2003 and dedicating his career to the pursuit of excellence in dental morphology, aesthetics and restorative craftsmanship.

In 2004, János became a GC Opinion Leader, working closely with clinicians and technicians while organising and judging dental technology competitions for students. His passion for education led him to establish his own ceramic training academy in 2013, where he has inspired thousands of dental professionals through hands-on teaching focused on precision, anatomy and continuous professional development.

Morphology Training within the Private Dental Mentor: Evolve Flagship Programme

At Private Dental Mentor, János is our Morphology Educator, delivering the Anterior and Posterior 3-Day Morphology Courses as part of the Evolve Flagship 12-Month Programme.

These immersive hands-on sessions are designed to transform the way dentists understand tooth form. Rather than simply copying anatomy, delegates develop the ability to analyse, recreate and refine natural morphology with confidence. Through structured practical exercises, János teaches the fundamental principles that underpin predictable restorative dentistry, enabling clinicians to produce restorations that are functional, aesthetic and biologically respectful.

Why Every Restorative Dentist Should Learn Morphology

Understanding morphology is one of the most valuable skills a restorative dentist can develop. By mastering tooth anatomy, clinicians improve their ability to:

  • Create restorations that blend naturally within the dentition.
  • Develop stronger occlusal awareness and functional restorations.
  • Improve efficiency by understanding tooth form rather than relying on templates.
  • Enhance communication with dental technicians through a shared anatomical language.
  • Increase confidence when restoring both anterior and posterior teeth.
  • Deliver restorations with greater longevity, aesthetics and patient satisfaction.

János’ teaching combines decades of technical mastery with an engaging, practical approach that helps clinicians see teeth differently. His sessions provide the foundation for restorative excellence, giving delegates the anatomical understanding and hands-on skills that elevate every aspect of their daily dentistry.
