On Sunday 20th September 2026, members of the Private Dental Mentor Institute community will be stepping away from the dental chair and into the mud as they take on Tough Mudder London South at Holmbush Estate.
Made up of current delegates, mentors, alumni, friends and family, our team is embracing one of the UK’s most iconic endurance events in support of an incredible cause: The Dental Wellness Trust.
Whether tackling the 5K or pushing themselves through the 15K challenge, every participant is united by a shared commitment to supporting children’s oral health and giving back to the communities we serve.
At Private Dental Mentor, we believe that dentistry is about far more than developing clinical skills.
As the UK’s premier pathway into private dentistry, we support dental professionals through postgraduate education, practical mentorship and business development, helping them build confidence, achieve clinical excellence and create fulfilling careers in modern private practice.
But one of the things we’re most proud of is the community that has grown around our programmes.
Our delegates, graduates and faculty continue to support one another long after completing a course, and this event is another example of that shared spirit. Together, we’re swapping scrubs for running shoes and coming together for a challenge that reflects the resilience, teamwork and determination we encourage every day.
As dental professionals, we witness every day the life-changing impact of good oral health.
Sadly, tooth decay remains one of the leading causes of hospital admissions among young children in the UK, despite being almost entirely preventable.
That’s why we’re proud to support The Dental Wellness Trust, a charity dedicated to improving children’s oral health through education and prevention.
Through initiatives such as the Live Smart supervised toothbrushing programme, the Trust works with nurseries and schools across the UK and internationally, providing children with the knowledge, routines and support they need to develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.
It’s a mission that aligns perfectly with our own belief that prevention, education and early intervention have the power to transform lives.
